No Bull Home Business Advice

Hi Hubbers and everyone else !

My name's Dan Luther and I'm a 25 year Veteran of the Network Marketing and Home Business Industry and have worked exclusively out of my own home for the last 12 years.I have also researched and reviewed WELL over 1000 Home Business opportunities over all these years and the things I've learned have both shocked and surprised me !

Of course I'll be sharing some of those things with you here - as well as providing access to my Blogs,Websites,Squidoo Lens etc... so that you can see for yourself the results of all my research. I bet some of it will shock and/or surprise you too !

I have recently started a publishing company called " Straight Shooter Publications " ( That's my logo up top ) to help me get my findings and home business experience into the hands ( and minds ) of others, and have authored the book " THE Home Business And MLM Survival Guide " which is another vehicle I will use to help as many people as I can.

Am I going to be talking about my book and Blogs ? ( it's companions ) Well of course I am - I'm VERY proud of them, but hopefully I can impart a little knowledge HERE and on my other sites to make it worth your while to visit me often and who knows, if you ARE serious about the success of your home based business, you may come to the conclusion that my book would be well worth having !

So again, bare with my " bare bones " page here. I'm not a Bells and whistles kind of guy any way as you will notice if you decide to visit any of my other sites. I've learned over the years that Hype, Flashy sites and " pie in the sky " promises have NOTHING to do with VALUE or CONTENT anyway, and certainly nothing to do with making money from home !

No, you will NEVER see any pictures of fancy cars or houses or a bunch of phony " Testimonials " on ANY of my sites, but I do believe the CONTENT and VALUE is there ! YOU, of course - will be the judge of that !

Before I get to the Nitty Gritty of my page here - BELIEVE ME, I am NOT all business ! I am also an artist ( Song writer / Photographer ) and musician and have played the Drums professionally here in the metro Atlanta Ga. area for years ! It is my Home Businesses that have allowed me THE FREEDOM to explore my talents and interests and to me,THAT IS the American Dream !

Lastly, I LOVE QUESTIONS and COMMENTS ! Even the bad ones ! Remember, I've got 25 years " In the Trenches " experience and if I can't answer a question, I bet I can find someone who can !

The first thing I want to talk about here - as far as what I've learned over the years about the home business industry, is the apparent FACT that even of the so called " Legitimate " home business opportunities - THE MAJORITY of these companies COULD CARE LESS if you succeed with them or not ! In Fact, MANY of them ACTIVELY work AGAINST your success !

I KNOW that sounds ridiculous, but facts are facts ! I spell out these reasons in my book but consider this - of the 7000 people who start some type of home based business, each and every day, within 4 months or less - the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of them have already QUIT in frustration and failure or moved on to a supposed " Better " opportunity !

Now keep in mind that 90+% of every so called " Income Opportunity " on the Internet is a flat out SCAM - so that accounts for a certain chunk of these failed home businesses, but what about the FACT that only 5% EVER even make a profit - even in those " Legitimate " opportunities ! The other 95% are almost ALWAYS left in WORSE financial shape than before they started !

WHY ? Well ONE reason is that the training these companies give is more or less worthless ! Don't you think they know this ? Of course they do ! They know from industry averages and THERE OWN stats that your " average " Network Marketer signs up ALL EXCITED at their prospects of " Makin' the Big Bux ", orders X amount of product, spends X amount of dollars on marketing materials, and will sponsor the industry average of 2.7 other people !

More often than not, this " New and EXCITED " marketer will buy all kinds of crap that has NOTHING to do with succeeding in their business and even be FORCED in some cases, to PAY for the privelidge of using the companies website ! ( The nerve ! ) They'll get set up on "auto-ship" and agree to buy MUCH MORE than they need and supposedly, there off to the races !

What's the first thing they hear before the ink is even dry on their applications ? MAKE A LIST OF YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS - right ? !!! Or as I call it, " Make A list Of everyone you know that will have NO INTEREST in what you're doing and probably don't want to see you succeed at anything anyway " ! WOW, what a good foundation for success huh ?

Guys, these companies know full well that this poor guy or gal will exaust this " Warm Market " list VERY QUICKLY, and will probably bring in 2.7 people before they even realize that there is REAL WORK involved in growing a PROFITABLE Home Based Business ! When this FACT FINALLY hits them, their enthusiam wanes and, simply put - there gone !

Before this happens though, you better believe that company is going to make as much money off this person as they possibly can ! What about those 2.7 "Recruits" ? They simply repeat the process !

I know of COUNTLESS companies that are supposedly " Solid " opportunities where the chances of success of 95 PERCENT of EVERYONE who gets involved with them is basically ZERO ! Oh, and there's SO MANY other reasons for this too - like INTENTIONALLY designing their pay plans for PROFESSIONAL SALES PEOPLE or " SUPER RECRUITERS " as I like to call them ! ( About 8% of the population are professional salespeople ! ) Or...

How 'bout designing their Pay/Marketing plans for FULL TIME marketers even when they KNOW that 95% will join up on a PART TIME basis ! The list goes on and on of the downright DIRTY TRICKS these turkeys play on MILLIONS of people who are just trying to improve their lives ! ( I've left out the DIRTIEST TRICKS ! )

Guys, I've learned their tricks ! You can't research this industry for as long as I have and review over 1000 home business opportunities without learning A LOT about how these guys operate ! That's why I'm here ! To teach you and show you EXACTLY where to go to QUICKLY learn what took me 25 years to discover !

Dan Luther here with what I feel to be one of my most important messages ! The title above pretty much says it all, but let's take a closer look...

So many times over the years, I've been approached by someone looking to get me involved in one business opportunity or another. Now I'm not going to be talking about your standard " Brick and Mortar " business here, that's a different animal entirely.

Can you imagine how many Network Marketing Opportunities I've been presented with over the last 25 years or so ? Hundreds, maybe THOUSANDS ? I can't keep track myself, but I have kept track of THE APPROACH used by all these different people, and more often than not - it was quiet clear that they didn't give a rats #%@ about me !

All I was, was a DOLLAR SIGN to them and it came through loud and clear in how they approached me about their opportunity ! Big money this and Big money that - money, money, money was ALL they usually talked about !

Did they ask me about my goals or dreams ? Usually not ! Did they ask me about what REALLY motivated me in life ? Again NO ! All they talked about was MONEY !

Guys, this may be a shocker to some of you but MONEY, in and of it's self - IS NOT the main motivation for MILLIONS and MILLIONS of people - ME being one of them ! Money is just the " Thing " we USE to get the things we really want in life, whatever they may be !

Now, before I get off on a tangent about Dreams, desires and goals, I want to talk about how we feel when we get the strong impression from someone that they could CARE LESS about us as human beings - and the only thing THEY care about is the MONEY there going to make off us IF they " recruit " us in whatever opportunity there pitching on us !

Dosen't feel to good does it ? It's amazing how perceptive most people are ! We can usually sense pretty quickly what the other persons TRUE motivations REALLY are ! Do they REALLY give a hoot about us or just the buck they're going to make off us ? How much help and support can you ( WE ) really expect from someone who could really care less about us ? NOT MUCH !

Usually, these people are what I call " Recruiting Machines " and they REALLY DON'T care about us or our success, because when they have made that big fat recruiting bonus off of us, they simply move on to the next dollar sign - I mean person ! They look at Network Marketing as a SALES JOB - and YOU and I are not PEOPLE, we're just another SALE !

So, are you in this business just to make another sale ? Or, are you in it for the long run - to build something that can last for years and maybe even a life time ? Those answers are obviously up to you but NOT GIVING A CRAP about others IS NOT what this business is SUPPOSED to be all about !

This is one of the BIGGEST MISTAKES I see so many people make in this business - treating others like numbers and not the INDIVIDUALS with INDIVIDUAL HOPES and DREAMS ! If you can't muster up some GENUINE caring and compassion for your fellow human beings, Network Marketing IS NOT for you !

This is a People business ! A RELATIONSHIP business, and I'd rather have 100 caring, compassionate people in my down line who DID give a %#@& about those THEY recruit, than 1000 " pushy Salesman " types who are just lookin for a fast buck !

Just think about it a little ! Who would you prefer to be " Sponsored " by, Some one that spent some time getting to know you and your dreams, and who worked diligently to help you achieve those dreams - Or the " Super Recruiter " that could care less about you or your dreams ? Kinda a no brainer isn't it !

Guys, people pick up on your TRUE motivations whether you know it or not ! If you're NOT genuine, THEY'LL KNOW and will be much less likely to want to do a good job for you ! Show them YOU CARE and that YOU BELIEVE IN THEM and they'll MOVE MOUNTAINS for themselves, which in this business, means moving mountains FOR YOU !

Never forget the words of the BRILLIANT Zig Ziggler " You can get WHATEVER it is you want in life, if you just HELP enough OTHER PEOPLE get what THEY want " ! So, if you're new to this business, or maybe you're just not getting anywhere in your opportunity, why not take the focus OFF of yourself and put it on others !

Make THEIR DREAMS equally and even MORE IMPORTANT than your own, and not only watch them respond, but watch YOUR DREAMS just magically take care of themselves !

OK, now that we've covered the big " DUH " of - if you want to start a home based business, IT TAKES WORK ! Now let's take a look at another BIG reason SO MANY people FAIL at earning money from home. I call it " Pie In The Sky " !

That picture above is a FRACTION of the " Opportunities " I've reviewed over the years ! ( Notice the Cassette and VCR Tapes ? ) This bunch of mostly CRAP obviously doesn't include the HUNDREDS of " Biz-Ops " I've reviewed online - and MOST of them are EVEN WORSE ! You DO know by now ( I Hope ! ) that studies have shown that 88% to 93% of every so-called " Biz-Op" on the Internet is a FLAT OUT SCAM ! It's funny that EVERYONE seems to know this FACT yet THOUSANDS of people every day keep falling for this stuff ! WHY ? I'll tell you why...

Reason #1 - Almost EVERYONE wants something for nothing ! That hasn't changed for thousands of years and NEVER will ! We all know better, but so many of us have that Lottery mentality of thinking that we're going to spend a buck and make millions without having to lift a finger. So again, even though our logical minds usually know when something is to good to be true - we continue to fall for get rich quick schemes over and over again ! Simple human nature - we all want to believe that something for nothing is possible and in some cases, we continue to ALLOW ourselves to be ripped off over and over AND OVER again !

In my book THE Home Business And MLM Survival Guide - I teach EXACTLY how to spot these pie in the sky scams and after 25 years of seein' 'em, you bet I'm pretty good at spottin' 'em ! And YES - I've been " Duped " before too ! ( More than once ! ) Haven't we ALL ?

So if someone is PROMISING you the moon ie. " We'll do all the work for you " or " Make $30,000 in the next 30 days " or WHATEVER - you can rest assured that the ONLY person that will be making money on that transaction is THE SELLER !

Reason #2- THESE GUYS ARE GOOD !!! A Lot of the Internets craftiest scammers are NOT uneducated people ! They STUDY everything from Psychology to Color Theory to " High impact " word placement and on and on ! Why do they invest so much of their time and effort " Getting Smart " ? Well to PLAY ON YOUR EMOTIONS and GET YOUR MONEY of course !

I review DOZENS of websites every day and sometimes even I will say " Wow, You're Good " NO I don't send them my money but I do recognize Talent when I see it ! And what a talent to have right ? The talent to RIP PEOPLE OFF ! LOOSER ! Personally, I don't give a rat's $#@ if you have a " Gazillion " dollars in the bank, if you earn your living from STEALING THE DREAMS of others, YOU'RE A LOOSER - PERIOD !

You know what ? All I've talked about so far is Scam Artists ! I haven't even mentioned the FACT that even the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of so - called " Legitimate " companies - Network Marketing or other wise, INTENTIONALLY do EVERYTHING they can to DECIEVE you and even INTENTIONALLY keep you from succeeding with them !

Now I don't necessarily expect you to believe that - I didn't either when I first started researching this industry so many years ago, but the PROOF is BLARINGLY OBVIOUS when you know the FACTS ! Actually it #@&%$# me off that these companies are promoting themselves as legitimate home business opportunities and at the same time - doing everything they can to keep YOU from succeeding with them !

Even if your goal is to simply make a few extra hundred $$$ a month, IF you are COMMITTED to that goal, then you my friend ARE SERIOUS and we'll be proud to work with you !

So WHY do over 7000 people - EVERY SINGLE DAY start a home based business and within 4 months time - NINETY FIVE PERCENT of them QUIT in frustration and failure ??? HMMM... Why is that ???

Some of you who will read this are ALREADY involved in one " Opportunity " or another. Honestly, I really feel for most of you ! I talk to people all the time in different opportunities and more often than not, I ALREADY KNOW that they won't make BEANS - but I can't simply tell them that ! They wouldn't believe me anyway, so I do my best to support them anyway I can !

Look, I'll leave it this way. If YOU are making AT LEAST $ 500 a month from your home business/ Network Marketing efforts - GREAT JOB ! And I hope that's AFTER your EXPENCES of Marketing, Product, Time, etc... etc...

If You are HAPPY with that amount - great, I guess - but if you are NOT - OR you ARE NOT making AT LEAST $ 500 a month PROFIT and you want to learn about a resource that can DRAMATICALLY increase your income and your chances of overall success - again, check out the Web Site I mentioned above and see what 25 YEARS has taught me !

Whatever you do - DON'T BUY THE HYPE ! A PROFITABLE Home Based Business takes WORK - and the BIG BUX takes HARD WORK ! My goal is to make that EASIER for you and to keep you safe from the predators ! So, The Bottom Line obviously is " IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE... ( You know the rest ! )
